OUR STORY
Don and Rhonda Carano own Vintners Inn in Santa Rosa and Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery in Healdsburg, California—both properties that showcase
the magnificence of Sonoma County's wine country.
Don and Rhonda are second-generation Italian-Americans and natives of Reno, Nevada. In 1979 while searching for wines to enhance the wine
lists at their Eldorado Hotel Casino in Reno, they were introduced to the beauty of Sonoma County and eventually purchased a 60-acre parcel
in the Alexander Valley. Realizing the potential of this area, the Caranos acquired additional vineyard land and founded Ferrari-Carano Vineyards
and Winery in 1981. Ground was broken for their production facility in 1985, and the first wines bearing the Ferrari-Carano label were released in 1987.
Vintners Inn and the John Ash & Co.
In 2000, Don and Rhonda Carano acquired Vintners Inn and the John Ash & Co. restaurant. While Vintners Inn features a wine country village design
that invites business and leisure travelers to relax and rejuvenate without ever needing to leave the property, it is conveniently located near
California's spectacular vineyard, coastal, and mountain destinations for those wishing to explore.
