fountain.jpg (20931 bytes)rom the moment you enter our driveway and proceed under the lush canopy of our sycamore tree arbor toward the Inn, you'll sense a calm and welcoming presence. Antique Belgian lampposts topped with French copper lanterns cast a warm glow against the gracefully arched windows and wrought-iron balconies of the surrounding buildings. A splashing fountain and tiled courtyard lie at the core of the property, and from this focal point, row upon row of carefully tended vineyards stretch out in every direction. It all serves as a grand visual backdrop for your Wine Country stay.

The Setting

vineyard.jpg (20882 bytes)Reminiscent of a tiny village in the South of France, Vintners Inn features four softly-colored buildings surrounding a central courtyard and a splashing fountain. Meandering pathways are lit in the evening by hand-forged lamp posts, splashing pools of light across the lawns and gardens. The Inn is set in the very center of a lovely vineyard, and carefully tended vines stretch in every direction. Best of all, there is a wonderful restaurant here on the grounds.

To the south, just an hour's drive away, is the Golden Gate Bridge, one of the most famous landmarks in the world and the gateway to San Francisco. Less than a 45-minute drive to the west, is the stunningly beautiful Sonoma coast and the majestic Pacific. The famed Napa Valley is just over the hills to the east, and you will find redwood forests, charming coastal towns and the quaint village of Mendocino to the north. In short, Vintners Inn is ideally located and enables you to take advantage of all that northern California has to offer.

The Vineyards

vinework.jpg (21195 bytes)Located in the renowned Russian River appellation, Vintners Inn, with it's very own 40-acre working vineyard, produces both Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. We harvest in August and September and deliver the grapes to the Ferrari-Carano Winery, one of the premier vintners in the region.

You're welcome to stroll through the vineyards at your leisure and then stop in at the John Ash restaurant where you can select from our award-winning wine list and enjoy exquisite wine country cuisine.

The Common Areas

spawomen.jpg (11934 bytes)The Spa   Meticulously groomed gravel pathways lead you to the wisteria- draped, trellised arbor that surrounds the outdoor spa on two sides. The view to the east includes row after row of Sauvignon Blanc vines and shady lawns. Oversized terra cotta planters set against low stucco privacy walls spill over with flowers. Glass-topped tables and comfortable lounge chairs complete the picture.
The Library   A burgundy-colored fireplace set with an oak wood fire is the focal point of our Library. Four comfortable arm chairs in forest green flank the fireplace and a large sofa, wrought iron table lamps and a bridge table round out the cozy ambiance. You can relax with a book in front of the fire, or by one of the paned windows that look out to the tiled courtyard and fountain, and the vineyards beyond.
breakrm.jpg (14134 bytes)The Breakfast Room   Our guests begin their day enjoying a sumptuous buffet at private tables either by the fireplace, outdoors on the shaded terrace or in the warmth of the Sun Room. An antique pine hutch and sideboard beneath a hand-forged wrought iron chandelier are complimented by tables set with fresh flowers and dark blue cloths over white linen.
