"We're doubling the size of the garden this
year, up to approximately 2000 square feet...and every inch of it is organic. The gardens
are wonderful to see in the height of the season: bean tee-pees thick with purple, yellow,
and green beans...rows of green and purple basil and eight kinds of peppers, including a
chocolate variety this summer. I've narrowed the tomato varieties down to just the most
flavorful...tiny Sun Golds, Snow White and the German Stripers with the beautiful red and
orange flesh. It's incredibly rewarding to be a part of the experience Jeffrey creates in
the restaurant just across the way."
