Owners Don and Rhonda Carano extend their gracious hospitality to guests and wine lovers from around the world at their four-diamond Vintners Inn, famed John Ash & Co. Restaurant, The Front Room Bar & Lounge, and Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery.

The Caranos are second-generation Italian-Americans and natives of Reno, Nevada. In 1979, while searching for wines to enhance the wine lists at their Eldorado Hotel Casino in Reno, they were introduced to the beauty of Sonoma County and purchased a 60-acre ranch in the Alexander Valley. Realizing the area’s potential, the Caranos acquired additional vineyard land and founded Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery in 1981, with the first wines bearing the Ferrari-Carano label released in 1986. In 2000, Don and Rhonda acquired Vintners Inn and the adjacent John Ash & Co. restaurant.
